Uuno Klami (1900-1961) was an acclaimed Finnish orchestral composer whose works in other genres also deserve to be known. Souvenir for solo violin and string ensemble dates from 1929. It is as a melodically expressive, small-scale counterpart for chamber ensemble of the virtuoso, imaginatively written Opernredoute concert waltz for large orchestra.
