Timo-Juhani Kyllönen: Three arias from monologue opera Ilona irti for soprano & piano

Novelist Leena Lehtolainen was invited to write the libretto of Timo-Juhani Kyllönen’s monologue opera Ilona irti (Release Joy, 2019). The story deals with the unequal status of women and the harassment which is at times evident in present-day society. It tackles the #MeToo movement from different perspectives. The original score is for soprano, violin, violoncello and piano.

This product includes three arias from the opera set to soprano and piano with texts in Finnish (Jaakko Mäntyjärvi`s English translations are included):
