Kai Nieminen: Sigma
Sigma for solo trombone was written in 1998. Composer Kai Nieminen tells that inspiration behind the name is from the way trombone’s slide moves during playing. The musical material is related to orchestral work ”Le città invisibili” (Invisible Cities, 1998) by Nieminen. The work was written for trombone player Matti ”Korkki” Korhonen. Buy now
