Lasse Eerola: Pedagogical collections for wind instruments

The Finnish composer and pedagogue Lasse Eerola (1945–2000) studied clarinet, theory of music and solfege at the Sibelius Academy as well as composition with Jouko Tolonen and Einojuhani Rautavaara. He developed as a composer through constant listening, research, and performance. Though most of Eerola’s compositions are written for symphony or wind orchestra, his works also include a remarkable number of chamber music and pedagogical materials.

With the acquisition of the Uusinta Publishing catalogue, Fennica Gehrman is republishing these useful collections.
