Lotta Wennäkoski nominated for Music Prize 2027

Lotta Wennäkoski has been nominated for the Fondation Prince Pierre de Monaco’s Music Composition Prize 2027 with her work Vents et lyres. One of the most respected awards in contemporary classical music, the prize is presented every three years to recognize outstanding recent achievements in composition.

The nomination places Vents et lyres among a distinguished international selection of works chosen for the 2027 edition of the award. The winner will be announced by the Foundation in Monaco.

This is not the first time Wennäkoski’s music has caught the attention of the Foundation. Her orchestral work Prosoidia was previously selected in an earlier edition of the prize. The new nomination further highlights Wennäkoski’s strong international profile as one of today’s leading Nordic composers.
