Victoria Yagling: Suite for cello and string orchestra

Russian-born Victoria Yagling (1946−2011) was an acclaimed cellist who studied at the Moscow Conservatory under Mstislav Rostropovich. She began composing at an early age and continued her studies with Dmitry Kabalevsky. Her work list includes three cello concertos which are her main works. Suite for cello and string orchestra (ca. 15 min) was composed in 1967. It consists of four movements.
