Tiina Myllärinen’s Shades to be performed in Germany

Tiina Myllärinen’s guitar quartet Shades will receive three performances in Germany in autumn 2026. The concerts will be given by the Bibra Guitar Quartet, who will present the work in Hausen, Fulda and Würzburg.

Composed in 2025–2026, Shades explores the delicate colours, resonances and sonorities of four guitars, moving from fragile sound worlds to rich, bell-like textures. The work was premiered by Kekkonen Quartet at the Summer Sounds Festival in Porvoo in June 2026.

20 September 2026 – Alte Dorfkirche, Hausen
12 October 2026 – Aula der Alten Universität, Fulda
13 October 2026 – Hochschule für Music, Kammermusiksaal, Würzburg
