Robert Ruohola received Young Creator’s Grant

Composer Robert Ruohola received a Young Creator’s Grant at the Finnish Music Publishers Association’s 50th anniversary celebration on 10 September. Presented annually to promising Finnish songwriters and composers, the grant recognises exceptional talent, determination and significant future potential.

Despite his young age, Ruohola has already attracted attention in Finland and abroad. “His work reflects the courage of a new generation of composers to build their own musical expression with uncompromising vision and originality,” the jury said.

Ruohola welcomed the recognition: “I am honoured by this recognition and would like to thank my publisher, Fennica Gehrman, for believing in my music and for the excellent start to our publishing collaboration.”
